By means of this application, aluminum foil thicknesses (1 µm to 300 µm) can be monitored in the production process. The foil thickness measurement is distance-independent, with distances up to 3 mm.

Foil thickness measurement
The Windows software application Foil Thickness Measurement continuously determines the foil thickness independent of distance. The sample rate is 1 kHz USB cable bound in combination with a METALSCOPE [MI-LAB 2].
- Working principle
Algorithms
Magnetic fields of different frequencies penetrate the metal and are evaluated using sequence decoding and subsequently calculated in µm.
