The foil thickness measurement application determines the foil thickness of aluminum in the measuring range between 1 µm and 300 µm.

The foil thickness measurement application is a software supplement for the METALSCOPE [MI-LAB 2].

    By means of this application, aluminum foil thicknesses can be monitored in the production process. The foil thickness measurement is carried out independent of distance, with distances up to 1 mm.

    Foil thickness measurement

    The foil thickness measurement application determines the thickness independently of the distance when the METALSCOPE [MI-LAB 2] is placed on an aluminum foil within one second.

  • Working principle


    Magnetic fields of different frequencies penetrate the metal and are evaluated using sequence decoding and subsequently calculated in µm.
